When in doubt….make a taco dip!

Everyone has their go-to dish that they bring for family functions, parties, etc. Mine is taco dip. It is one of those no fail recipes that turns out perfect every time. Anyone can make it and its almost impossible to mess up….trust me, if you could I would have already.

This will be the first recipe from the cookbook that I will post & review                 :

 

No Fail Taco Dip

INGREDIENTS:

4 cans refried beans

1 large container(24 oz) sour cream

1 packet taco seasoning

1 jar salsa

3 medium tomatoes, diced

1 large green pepper, diced

1 large onion, diced

1 large bag shredded cheddar cheese

1 can olives, sliced

 

THE METHOD:

Using a round tray, put a thick layer of refried beans

covering the bottom. Mix sour cream & taco seasoning together

and layer on top of beans. Next, cover with a layer of salsa.

Layer onions, green peppers, then tomatoes.

Drain olives and put on top. Cover with cheddar cheese. Serve with tortilla chips.

 

I just made this last night for my Superbowl party and it turned out great. The nice thing about it is that its not expensive to make, takes less than 15 minutes of preparation and it serves 15-20 people.
